Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off: the session cookie that keeps you signed in to your account, and the small browser-storage entry that remembers the consent choice you make on this page.

Analytics

Analytics help us understand which pages and deals are useful, and they run only if you consent. We use two tools: Vercel Web Analytics, served from this site's own domain and cookieless, and Google Analytics, which sets cookies (names beginning _ga) that recognise your browser on return visits to this site. We switch Google's advertising signals off in code, so neither tool sets advertising cookies, builds a profile of you, or tracks you across other sites. Decline and none of it loads.

Consenting also stores two things in your browser's own storage rather than in a cookie: a random visitor identifier beginning dfs_, kept for up to 400 days, and the source that first brought you to the site (the referring site, any campaign tag on the link, and the page you first landed on). This is how we can tell that an answer you read in an AI assistant last week led to a purchase you made today, which is the single measurement this site is run on. It is a random number rather than anything that identifies you, and it is never shared with another site.

Decline and none of that is written. We still note which site referred your current visit, for that visit only; it is discarded when you close the tab.
