Terms of service

Daily Fragrance Scout compares fragrance prices. We collect listings from retailers and from community submissions, normalise them by bottle size and concentration, record what they cost over time, and link out to the shop where a purchase actually happens.

We are not a shop. We hold no stock, take no payment, ship nothing, and are not a party to your purchase. Every transaction is between you and the retailer, under their terms.

The site is funded by affiliate commission: if you buy after following one of our links, the retailer may pay us. It costs you nothing extra. What that does and does not influence is set out in our affiliate disclosure.

Every price here is something we recorded at a moment we timestamp on the page. Retailers change prices without telling anyone, stock runs out, and codes expire.

The price and terms at the retailer's checkout are the ones that count. If they disagree with what we show, theirs is correct and ours is out of date. We make no promise that any price shown is still available, and a purchase dispute is between you and that retailer.

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-extract this site's content without written permission;
• manipulate votes, reports or other community signals, by hand or with automation;
• submit expired, fabricated or misleading deals as current;
• promote your own products without disclosing that connection when you submit them.

We remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules.

You keep ownership of everything you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and adapt it in order to run and promote the service, which includes showing a submitted deal on social accounts belonging to this site.

You are responsible for having the right to submit what you submit. Everything is moderated before publication, and may be edited for accuracy or refused.

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.

You can delete your account at any moment in Settings, along with exporting your data first. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, abuse other people, or try to defraud retailers or the community, and where it is practical we will say why.

We do not promise the site is always up or always correct. It may be interrupted for maintenance, and listings may be wrong or missing when a retailer's data is. We fix what we find.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Daily Fragrance Scout is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for losses arising from purchases made on a retailer's site, from inaccurate listing information, or from the service being unavailable.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If something is wrong, email contact@dailyfragrancescout.com first. We would rather fix it than argue about it, and we aim to reply within two business days.

Your statutory consumer rights in your own country of residence continue to apply, and nothing in these terms reduces them.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and if a change materially affects your rights we will say so on the site rather than editing quietly. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
