Dior builds J'Adore around an enormous floral core stage, five separate materials crowding into a single stretch of development. Citruses, mandarin orange and neroli open with a bright, clean freshness that gives little indication of the density waiting underneath. Jasmine, African orange flower, ylang-ylang, tuberose and rose crowd the core into an intensely full floral bouquet, rich and heady, shifting the fragrance dramatically from its citrus start. Woody notes and vanilla close things out warm and smooth, giving J'Adore Eau de Toilette its signature soft, golden conclusion. Floral fruity is the fitting classification, polished enough for evening wear yet workable on a cooler daytime occasion too. It suits dinners, celebrations and date nights about equally well.
