Few structures in modern perfumery are as recognized as a roasted, nutty opening that gives way to a dense white-floral core and a thick, sugary finish, and Milano Mist follows that exact blueprint closely. Almond, coffee, bergamot and lemon introduce the composition with a bittersweet, faintly roasted brightness that hints little at the density waiting underneath. Tuberose, jasmine sambac, orange blossom, Bulgarian rose and orris build an intensely full white floral core, rich and heady, pulling the fragrance in a considerably more feminine direction than its top suggests. Tonka bean, cacao, vanilla, praline, woods, musk, amber and cinnamon form a dense, warm finish, giving Milano Mist Perfume considerable staying power once fully developed. Floral gourmand is the classification, dense enough for evening wear and still workable on a cooler afternoon. Marc Olivetti built this for dinners, celebrations and cool-weather occasions calling for serious richness. Fall and winter suit the cacao and cinnamon close best, once the composition has had time to fully bloom on skin.
