Dior builds Miss Dior around fruit doing nearly all the top-stage work, before handing things over to a considerably darker, murkier finish. Apricot, peach and mandarin orange open with a soft, juicy sweetness that sets a playful tone from the very first spray. Wild strawberry, floral notes and jasmine carry the center, fruity and floral at once, keeping that sweetness running without turning the composition heavy. Patchouli, amberwood, amber, moss and Atlas cedar wrap things up dark and earthy, giving Miss Dior Eau de Parfum a considerably more serious finish than its fruity opening implies. Fruity chypre is the fitting classification, versatile enough for daytime wear yet substantial enough for evening plans too. It suits dates, dinners and casual outings about equally well. Fall and winter favor the moss and cedar close most, though the fruity top keeps it wearable into warmer months too.
