Character comes first for Hermes Twilly d'Hermes Perfume, ginger setting the entire tone, bitter orange and bergamot joining it up top for a dry, peppery heat rather than the sweetness the bottle suggests. Tuberose, orange blossom and jasmine gather into a full white floral centre, creamy and generous, the tuberose given real prominence rather than being blended away. Sandalwood and vanilla crown it in only two components, warm and soft and close to the skin. Eight components in total. That ginger against tuberose is the whole idea, spice pulling against flower, and it is why this reads as considerably younger and sharper than most Hermes releases.
