About this deal
Jean Paul Gaultier crowds the top of Ultra Male with five separate materials, an intensely layered opening for a fragrance built to push past the standard Le Male formula. Lemon, lavender, mint, pear and bergamot crowd the opening into a bright, herbal freshness that feels more ambitious than a typical fougère opener. Caraway, clary sage and cinnamon carry the center, spiced and herbal, adding warmth without losing that fresh opening entirely. Patchouli, cedar, amber and a black vanilla husk accord wrap things up rich and dark, giving Ultra Male Eau de Toilette a considerably denser finish than the standard Le Male line. Aromatic gourmand is the fitting classification, dense enough for evening wear while remaining workable on a cooler afternoon. It suits dinners, celebrations and date nights about equally well. Fall and winter favor the vanilla husk and amber close most, once that density has had time to settle. That black vanilla husk note is the detail that gives Ultra Male its distinctly darker, more intense identity.
