About this deal
Versace built Dylan Blue around a considerably fresher, more aquatic top than most of its oriental-leaning base notes might suggest at first glance. Calabrian bergamot, water notes, grapefruit and fig leaf open with a crisp, green freshness that reads distinctly modern and clean. Ambroxan, black pepper, patchouli, violet leaf and papyrus build the middle, spiced and slightly green, adding noticeable structure as the composition develops further. Incense, musk, tonka bean and saffron close things out warm and resinous, giving Dylan Blue Eau de Toilette a considerably richer finish than its fresh opening implies. Aromatic aquatic fits the top, though the smoky, spiced close pushes the overall classification closer to aromatic oriental by the end. It suits both daytime office wear and evening plans comfortably, which explains its broad popularity since release. Fall and winter favor the incense and saffron close most, though the aquatic top keeps it wearable into warmer months too. That saffron in the finish is the detail most aquatic fragrances skip entirely.
